Phlebotomus mascittii (M)

Phlebotomus mascittii Grassi, 1908
Subgenus: Transphlebotomus Artemiev & Neronov, 1984

Male Transphlebotomus species are distinguished from the other subgenera by their relatively stocky parameral sheath (aedegus) with a blunt tip. Specific discrimination within the subgenera mainly relies on the number and the position of the gonocoxal hairs.
